Make a One-time or Recurring Donation

NEHMA depends on your support to present its exhibitions and educational programming, as well as the care and display of its permanent collections. We receive a portion of our budget from Utah State University, and the rest is raised from individuals, corporations, private foundations and other sources.

NEHMA offers a variety of internship opportunities, including paid, unpaid (volunteer), and for-credit academic internships to fulfill program requirements. Internships are available in the following areas of emphasis: curatorial, education, digital archives and records management, marketing and promotion, registration, and special events. Applicants may be students enrolled at Utah State University or other colleges/universities around the nation, both undergraduates and graduates. Internships typically coincide with a semester-based academic calendar, but the Museum will take interns’ needs and schedules into consideration for an alternate timeline.

For more information, please contact or complete this
Internship Application.

Become a Docent (Exhibition Interpreter)

NEHMA Docents provide guided learning experiences through art from across cultures and time periods for K–12 students and other visitors from the Logan area and beyond. Docents facilitate engagement, interpreting artwork, and asking contemplative questions by conducting interactive Museum tours relevant to our visitors. Docents interact and educate all students by communicating the joy of interpretation through art, building expressive ability, providing new tools to enhance museum experiences, and discussing communication between art and life. As a docent you are expected to:

  • Complete provisional docent training (One training a month for 3 months)
  • Upon completion of provisional docent training and graduation, commit to at least one, two-hour shift per month on a set day (Tues. – Fri.) for at least one year
  • Attend exhibition and museum training sessions once a month
  • Lead tours for school groups (kindergarten through college) as well as adult tours and daily museum tours
